This Friday night the girls are having a Midnight Madness. They will be staying at the church all night to enjoy being girls together. Bring a friend, $5 for food and some nail polish.
Also, I earlier had the time wrong. On the calendar and newsletter it said 9 pm to 8 am, instead it should have read 8 pm to 9 am. I apologize for the mistake.
This blog is designed to help parents know what is going on in the Summerville Church of Christ Youth Ministry.

January Stuff
2011 has arrived! Here are some things you need to know for this month:
Cell Groups: This month we are studying the books of 1st and 2nd Thessalonians. We will be specifically talking about the importance our moral integrity and our humility plays in teaching the world about the gospel. In I Thessalonians 2:8, Paul tells the Thessalonians that he and Silas loved them so much that they were willing to share not only the gospel with them, but also their lives. They invited the Thessalonians to not only hear about the gospel, but to see what it looked like in a real life. My hope for the students is that they will be able to put flesh on the gospel, so the world around them can experience the wonder of the gospel from their influence.
If you want to follow along with the reading, the reading plan can be found here.
Midnight Madness:
The guys have one from 9 pm to 8 am on January 21st and the girls have one the next week at the same time. Students should invite a friend to come with them and bring $5 to chip in for food.
Winterfest Deadline:
To get the cheaper rate for Winterfest, you must register by January 12th, with a $25 deposit. The price before January 12th is $85, and after it jumps to $95. The final deadline is February 2nd.
