I usually discuss it with my husband and, if we're really having a hard time, we look it up on Focus on the Family. But there's not really a friend or family member I would talk to about it or ask advice from.
I agree, I will discuss it with my husband first, but if it still weighs heavy on my heart or if it is an ongoing issue, I will go to another parent in the church who has grown children that I believe turned out to be well rounded adults. I also have learned alot from the book "Parenting Teens with Love and Logic.", not all of the advise in there applies to my child, but overall it has some very good pointers that really work.
